The good news: Zoey’s friends have her back again and Stevie Rae and the red fledglings aren’t Neferet’s secrets any longer. The bad news: Ancient evil with the face of an angel has been let loose—that and various other nasties (whose faces aren’t so angelic). Grandma Redbird is in trouble. Heath is in trouble. The House of Night is in trouble. Okay, let’s face it—Zoey’s whole world is in trouble! But when the trouble comes from a being who appears to be beauty personified, will the world believe it? Especially when only a teenager and a group of misfits are the only ones who really understand the danger he brings. Will Zoey have the strength and wisdom to reveal the truth? Especially when, in the House of Night, the truth is often hard to come by...

 My Review
So from where we left off, things were certainly not looking up for zoey or for the rest of the gang. In fact it seemed like there was going to be a big gigantic mess to clean up after everything that had happened. We were all aware of the fact that neferet was the evil one, doing no good with her life and merely causing hell to those who could see beyond the pretty Im oh so innocent mask. Unfortunately, even when she pulled of the mask, not everyone seemed to believe that she was all that bad, and that wasnt helped by the very fact that she had a very good looking "angel" beside her that just about everyone was having an orgasm over, or well, at least drooling over. We can therefore only admire Zoey's strength to carry on going with her battle to make sure that peace is calmed and restored in the place that should have been home for her. It admiral how she still manages to get everyone out of the area safely and that she has restored the unity of wrong and right together by showing and representing that not everything that appears wrong is bad and not everything that appears right is good. Anywho, in this novel we are able to see all the young fledgings reuniting with one another back in the safety of the abbey, where they are protected by the Nuns. Although it is certainly not there home and the fact that she is still having boy troubles, we can see that she took a course of action that was most suited at the time.

I feel like the pace of the books have certainly picked up now, what with all the drama that is going on and you can really start to feel yourself becoming quite addicted to there pages, in that you need, not want, need to find out what is going to happen next. will someone die when we are not looking, will someone turn to the wrong side after all this time of fighting good. No body knows, and thats what really makes the book a good read. Its the very fact that it comes across as a little cliche and annoying and at times irritating in some places, but at the same time you just feel yourself becoming addicted to the adrenaline that is laced within the pages and you start to feel like you are one of the fledgings as well, on the good side of course.

Although Zoey and that have fled from the school after the welcoming party of the evil dude kalona, we all know that this is not the be all and end all and we soon discover that actually there return is to come much quicker than expected. Erik and Zoey do appear to get back together in this novel, claiming to have missed one another and need one another, although you get this little itch in the back of your head somehow that not everything is all that it appears to be and should be. Also what is more suprirsing is that stevie and aphrodite have imprinted as well, all because of the fact that stark shot an arrow through her heart or well her chest, missing his actual target, and stevie rae then needing human blood. this bit did in fact make me chuckle a little bit inside as you get the feeling that actually they could both be good friends and that perhaps they would work well together.

I think that this is certainly what the ook portrays the most therefore, the fact that not everyone is what they seem to be and that some of the characters have a different side, and a different personality to them. A lot of the characers do stay the same, but we see those that are hags from hell, fall in love, those who seemed romantic and sweet becoming jealous and bossy and those that we thought were true to the core, holding back deep dark secrets that are going to cause tension between them all. Heath does turn back up in the book but you get the huge sense that he is certainly a main character even if he isnt in it all the time. However its Heath coming back that causes Zoey to go back to the house of night. we all know about the raven mockers, the evil part bird part human creatures and we all know that zoey just has to protect her friends, which is why it is no surprise to see zoey protecting heath when he is attacked my a raven mocker, and is therefore hurt herself, badly.

Of course that left me gasping and wondering what would happen next, despite the very fact that I have already read the entire serie before hand. you kind of feel your heart stop because you just know its not good, and when there only option is to go back to the place where the evil lives, then there is nothing left to do but feel fear for not just zoey but for all of them that have to return. Things are certainly going down in these books, not everything is working out and just when you think they are all out of trouble, they are back in it again. its a constant moving series always with something new to offer to the reader and its very hard to therefore not talk about the whole Book

However I will say that I like our know phrotess and the way that she tells the future because it adds this huge sense of mystery to the novels that leaves you wanting to figure out the what comes next part. it is a good series and it really does give a whole new vibe to the meaning of vampires and wiccans. it just seems to add this aray of character interest and imagination that not a lot of books offer and you really get to keep in touch with not just one main charcter but all of them.
