My Review
Well, well well. What to say about this book when its a book that just needs to be read in the first place. In the first book we merely get to see the mask of christian Grey. We don't get to know him at all, about who he is, what he is and how he came to be the person that he is. He is a very mysterious man with so much darkness about him, that yet oddly makes him a very attractive man. Its no surprise when it comes down to the fact that every guy wants to fall in love with him. We all want what we are not allowed to have, and so the moment he expresses that he is not a heart or flowers type of man, well we want him. we want to prove him wrong, to show him we can be that and we can make him that as well. Ana is still as whingy whiney as ever in this book, but in all fairness of opinions she does have the right to be. I think that if christian was the first person that I was ever to get into a relationship with then I would probably be feeling about the same as what Ana is, which is confused, lost and broken. Is what she is getting herself into safe after all? or is it going to all end with a climax that isnt her cup of tea.

In the second book though there is less of a sexual tension to it. Of course the sexual side is there and there are still many parts of the novels that leave you squirming around in your seat, but at the same time there seems to be a more personal reaction to the whole novel in that you get to greet and meet the characters. Christian seems to unravel in this novel to a point where you start to learn about the childhood that he had and what it included. We do not get a fall insight of what it was that he had to deal with, but I think this is something that those of us who have been in a bad past, will understand. its not the very thing that we want to let go off and share openly with others because we dont want them to see just how vulnerable that we can be. I do think that the beginning of the novel was a little rushed as it was merely five days later that they were rejoined. But at the same time there is something very romantic about that whole picture. The very fact that he thought to get her back, to make her see that he was more than just a red room of pain and fun.

In this novel we get to see the sweeter side of him, the more romantic element that wants to show her the world and do everything within his favor to make her better. But we see an element of jealousy pop up from behind the pages as well as other characters of his past come back, wanting what ana has gotten and wanting to understand why she got it and they didnt. I like the fact that the mystery is unraveled here because you start to get the whole gist of the novel. But at the same time there are mysteries being built with certain characters. I.E Taylor, Lina and Elena. There is clearly something going on with them, and of course dont forget jack and jose and ethan. It just seems to be a book that has you constantly turning the page, leading you on so that you can read on to find out what is happening next.

Vividly, the book does come alive in your mind as your reading it because of the very notion that this is something that does go on behind a close door. I would not be surprised after all, to see that the sale statsitcs of places like annsummers or la senzas have dramatically increased. Mr grey is making a big change in society and Im wondering if this is both a good and bad thing. Considering the fact that this is not my normal genre of novels, I am really enjoying the write, really gripping my teeth into the page so much that I am reluctant to let them go. this is why I am awarding the novel five stars becaus eof how addictive by nature it is. anyone will be able to get into this and I can see it spicing up the life of many, many, many readers.

didn't like it it was ok liked it really liked it it was amazing
