Four pretty little liars' charmed lives have turned into living nightmares.
Emily's been shipped off to Iowa to live with her überconservative cousins. Aria's boyfriend is behind bars—because of her. Spencer's afraid she was involved in Ali's murder. But Hanna's fate is far worse: She's clinging to life in the hospital because she knew too much.
If these girls don't start listening to me, Hanna's going to look like the lucky one.

My Review
This series of books be Sara Shepard are very cleverly written so that the reader is made to think about what is occuring throughout the story. The book takes you on a whirlwind of adventures that give you little snippets into what has happened and yet does not give the full game away. What I like is that you get to live each moment of each character. I enjoy the fact that it is not centered around just one main character as that can often become a little dull and boring, but instead this is written in a way which means that you get to identify with them all. I have to say though that after reading this one, Emily has become possibly my favorite character. Although I relate woith Hanna, I tend to skim over the chapters mentioning her when it seems trigguring, though I was very much glad to read she was ok. I still don't believe that Ali is dead though and get the feeling that Mona was not the only criminal in this crime. Something else is happening between the seams of this book and yet it seems almost impossible to work out because of the way it twists and turns and changes all the time.

There is no denying though that these books are addictive and attractive. They seem to really engage with the reader to pull you in so that you feel like you are on a joruney. In many places I felt myself becoming the characters as I was reading which was a powerful impact because it meant that I was able to relate to them more efficently. I loved the depths that Sara went to, because it shows a true passion for writing and that true passion reflects in the fact, that I now, as the reader, want to continue to read this series of hers and also her other books that she has written. She writes with this sense of emotional context which makes the characters appear as the age that they are meant to be. She paints images of them in your mind which means they come to life.

I can't point out any negatives really because I enjoyed it all and there is nothing that I really want to put down about it. I do want to read the full series and hope that I am one daya rich enough to buy all these books that I intend to have and own.

didn't like it it was ok liked it really liked it it was amazing
